Here's a question I hear from artists more than almost any other, usually right after I suggest recording themselves talking about their work: "But what would I even say?" It's a totally valid question. Talking about your art is hard enough in person. Talking about it to your phone recording, alone in the studio, can feel like a whole different skill. And if you get passed that one, there are a couple more waiting. It feels weird in the moment while recording. And when you watch it back, it probably doesn't quite feel like you either. So most artists don't record themselves talking. They let their art do all the talking. And then the people who are growing to love their work never get to know the person who made it. That's exactly what our next workshop is for. Record Your Art to Connect is a live 60-minute workshop on Wednesday, October 21st at 4pm ET. It's the third in our Record Your Art series, and it stands alone if it's the only one you come to. Here's the shape of this hour together:
You'll leave with three things you know you can talk about on camera related to your art. And the first one already recorded, so the first time practicing is done and you can see you're capable of doing it! Early bird is $77 USD through Monday, October 19th. After that it's $99. And if you want the whole series, the 4-workshop Series Pass is $299 with instant access to the Purpose and Immerse workshop replays, plus bonus 2 months of full Ready to Record membership (my gift to you) for your momentum. ☀️ Save your seat here: https://readytorecord.com/connect –Zach P.S. One question, and I'd love a reply: if you've thought about talking on camera about your art and haven't yet, what's the one thing that stops you? I read every reply, and it shapes the examples I'll bring on the 21st. https://readytorecord.com/connect |
